We have seasonal festivals, socials and events, creative workshops, theatre, singing, nature days, and more; for all ages: babes & tots, children, adults, and seniors.

We are particularly keen to encourage residents to get involved and volunteer with us. Volunteer opportunities range from supporting us with events, youth activities, community orchard or anything else you might like to offer us. Arts on Prescription free daytime workshops are led by professional artists and supported by a qualified counsellor, taking place weekly in local venues.  A ‘hands-on art workshop’, it is not art therapy, although participants find it therapeutic!

C3 offers 5 CAP services to the public. There is no charge for any of the services and they are open to those of all and/or no faith.

  1. CAP Debt Centre – A service to support those who wish to be debt free.
  2. CAP Job Club – An 8 week course ( runs 3/4 times a year) to give support with job seraching: CV’s, role play, mock interviews etc.
  3. CAP Lifeskills – An 8 week course for those on low incomes. Interactive and it addresses budgeting, meal planning, managing relationships etc.

Open Lunch Cafe

Open Lunch Café is a space to eat together, connect and belong whilst reducing food waste. The café provides and serves warm, tasty and low cost meals made from supermarket’s superfluous food in a friendly environment where people’s physical and relational needs are met. According to Oxford University psychology professor Robin Dunbar, ‘taking the time to sit down together over a meal helps create social networks that in turn has profound effects on our physical and mental health, our happiness and wellbeing, and even our sense of purpose in life’.

Cambridge Street Outreach Team

Change Grow Live Cambridge Street & Mental Health Outreach Team (CSMHOT) is a street and community-based service that identifies and works with people over the age of 18 in the City of Cambridge, who are either rough sleeping or engaged in a street-based lifestyle.
We provide advice and access to accommodation, primary health care, substance misuse services and welfare benefits.
We have a dedicated project worker who works with rough sleepers that are from Central and Eastern Europe and a Homeless Prevention officer who works with people leaving the psychiatric hospital to prevent homeless discharge.

If you would like to be referred to the service, please attend Winter Comfort’s welfare service on Monday, Wednesday and Friday where CSMHOT run a surgery from 8.30am – 10.00am or Tuesday 12.00pm – 13.30pm or contact the office between 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday to arrange an alternative location.

Money Matters Service (by telephone, email and home visit) available for residents of Cambridge Housing Society (CHS Group), tenants of Hundred Houses Society referred in by HH staff’  and clients of CPSL Mind Goodlife Service referred in by CPSL Mind staff, living in Cambridgeshire.

Help and support with checking benefit entitlement, applying for benefits, form filling (e.g. Personal Independence Payment, Employment and Support Allowance, etc.).  Initial Debt Advice, negotiating with creditors (registered with the FCA), supporting to access DRO at CABx, CLAS Champion, applying to local charities, budgeting,  energy switching advice.

  • Initial triage by phone to find out more about the issues and to give initial advice and support. If a home visit is needed (to help with form filling etc. ) this will be arranged. Many of our clients have disabilities (physical, mental health, learning, sight, hearing etc.) and a home visit is likely to be the most appriopriate in these situations.

CLAS – Universal Access

Information, advice and practical support for individuals and families experiencing financial hardship. The practical support can be in the form of supermarket vouchers, new white goods, recycled white goods and furniture, and energy vouchers
