Cambridgeshire Digital Partnership

The Cambridgeshire Digital Partnership was formed during the COVID 19 lockdown crisis, when the impact of the digital divide was magnified by the movement of services including schooling to online platforms.

Cambridgeshire Digital Partnership

What do we want to achieve?

We are working together to improve digital inclusion across Cambridgeshire. We believe that everyone should have access to the kit and connectivity that they need to be digitally included.
There are three strands to our work.
• Delivering hardware – ie laptops, tablets, Raspberry Pi’s either as loans or gifts
• Arranging connectivity through data packages and helping people find longer term affordable solutions
• Skills development including referring to relevant learning opportunities

How do we work?

We know that we can do more together than apart. As a partnership we share the following values:
Openness and honesty – we talk about our work openly and share our successes as well as those things that haven’t gone as well as we hoped
Strength based – we focus on what is strong in our communities not what is wrong
Solution’s focused – if we can’t overcome a barrier, we work to find an organisation who can help.
Each of the partners brings a strength and leads on one or more aspect of our work. Collectively we respond to issues being raised around Digital Inclusivity in Cambridgeshire, particularly those which are heightened or created by the COVID 19 crisis.

How will we know if we are successful?

Each partner will be leading on their own projects which they will evaluate. Collectively we will share our evaluations as well as any additional learning we have as a partnership. We will know success by the numbers of people who are able to be digitally included as a result of our work.
